Went to this concert with my sister and our friend. We're all cellists and we all game (to varying degrees and genres).
Me and my sister wanted to sit down and appreciate some music, looking down on the clapping and cheering. We soon figured out this wasn't some regular orchestra concert. Overall, it was great. Got to listen to a lot of familiar pieces as well as take in a few I haven't listened to before. I was hoping for some Final Fantasy VI or some Dragon Warrior/Quest, but what they had was great. They choose several pieces from 60 (or was it 80) and randomize it every concert. I was actually put off by One Winged Angel. Everyone plays that now-a-days. =A= I had two obnoxious nerds sitting behind me, hooting and hollering, singing (terribly) and making snide Oh-I'm-so-clever (but you're terribly not) comments. I should've beat them with my high heels when I had the chance. You know who has an amazing voice? Laura Intravia. She really whipped out her stuff for God of War. And then she whipped out her flute skillz. Truth: I developed a girl crush on her. So it's great that we went to the meet and greet, got signatures from her, the producer/guitarist, and the maestro. Video Games Live tours about. Anyone else attended to one of their concerts? |
