What are some of your favorite shows to watch? What can you absolutely NOT miss an episode of?
Mine would be very few (not into TV much anymore)
Pitbulls and Parolee's (I'm really glad Animal planet got a show on pitbulls, they are by far my favorite breed of dog and I'm glad that their promoting the good in these beautiful dogs <3) I hope it helps raise awareness on the great of them instead of the bad that is portrayed.
The Office (always a fave)
Hells' Kitchen when it's on =)

Oddly enough, the only TV Show I've really seen in ages is the last episode of Conan, which I saw on the net. I really enjoyed it and thought his farewell was pretty uplifting. And, hey, I got more cowbell out of it.

i'm only listing current shows because to list all my favorite shows would take too long...
i'll also explain why just for the a blast furnace in which you will be baked into a pie with grubs, toejam, and other unsavory ingredients of it:
"The Simpsons" - yes, i still give this a chance from time to time. i don't watch every week, but i will still check it out if there's a good guest or if it looks intriguing, or if it's a milestone episode. it still has its moments...
"Archer" - the newest show I watch. it's only 3 episodes in, but I am already a fan of it. I've always liked H. Jon Benjamin, going back to "Dr. Katz" and I just find this show hilarious. Raunchier than what you'd normally find even on adult swim I think, but it's more coherent than a lot of recent cartoons and it's not weird-for-the-sake-of-being-weird. It's just funny.
"Survivor" - I've watched this since its inception and although it has clunker seasons, I think overall it's a lot of entertainment. It's not what I call "reality" television. It's a game show. Anyone who disagrees with that doesn't watch the show or understand it. These people are contestants, and there's nothing "real" about their situation...unless you know of groups of island dwellers who get together to perform complex challenges involving puzzles and canoes just for the fun of it. Although they are treated better than actual stranded people, the show is incredibly well thought out and well executed. And Jeff Probst is one of the best game show hosts of all time. I'm looking forward to the new season, as gimmicky as it is.
"30 Rock" - been a fan since the first episode but I gotta admit some of the cuteness is starting to wear on me. It seems to be losing its edge, and I can only imagine it's taking a turn for the worse the way people tell me "Scrubs" did. I used to think people comparing the two shows were out of their mind (i've *never* found "Scrubs" funny or interesting), but I'm starting to see striking similarities, and the last show I watched I put myself in the mindset of someone who doesn't follow the show. And I wanted to turn it off. It's becoming obnoxious and over the top without any real substance. Julianne Moore's Boston accent is atrocious and distracting. I can only predict that within the next season they will finally do The Musical Episode. I think that's when I'll jump ship for good.
"The Office" - season 2 is by far the best written and the funniest, but the show still has its legs. Granted, the clip show to start off the new year was a total cop out; but, when you get to have these ratings and you're 6 seasons in, I guess you get one pass. But they better bring it for the rest of the season. Not a big fan of the Jim vs. Dwight for management thing, I think it's just grasping at straws. I'm just glad they got rid of Holly...and why isn't Ryan funny anymore? What a waste!
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" - this is the only show that consistently makes me laugh but even this past season had some iffy episodes. I think it was stronger than some people have said (some fans complained about them selling out because of the Dave & Buster's episode) but this show will run its course pretty soon I think. It's basically The Young Ones and how far can you actually stretch that...?
"Ghost Adventures" - as i mentioned in the "ghosts" thread, I just think this show is hilarious. it's a guilty pleasure. i'm not gonna sugar coat it--it's not a good show. it has no quality. the hosts can be total BROHEIMS and i'm sure they're dicks in real life. but for some reason i just find this show totally entertaining. i love watching them go into these haunted places and do their little shenanigans, pissing off ghosts and "capturing" EVP's. the format works well and the show never really disappoints in giving the goods. i can only think of one or two bad episodes off the top of my head. overall, i enjoy it.
"Lost" - this is a show i also started watching from its pilot episode and actually was a late ship-jumper. Once it got to time traveling, I had to bail. That's not jumping the shark. That's space-time-continuuing the shark. It's convoluted and contrived, and complex just to try and make up for the fact that they didn't want to develop the characters anymore. Either kill them off or make them ghosts or make them travel through time and become other people. However, I am coming back for the final season. I just want to see how Abrams cleans up his own mess. If he's even still around...
Those are the only "shows" i really watch. I'll catch History Channel stuff, Food Network stuff, PBS, BBC America, etc. occasionally.
What I watch mostly is sports. Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, tennis, soccer, and sometimes boxing if it intrigues me (which it rarely does anymore).

My favourites include many TV shows from before my time. Shows such as MASH, I Love Lucy, The A-Team, Star Trek TOS, Star Trek TNG, and All in the Family.
Some shows that are relatively new that I like are Men of a Certain Age, Southland, and Band of Brothers.

I don't watch much tv. If I watch 'em, it's over hulu or through dvds.
I sort of watch Lie to Me. Yeay, Tim Roth? I used to watch House. Yeay- Hugh Laurie. I used to watch Life- but it's not as interesting? Maybe I ought to go back to it. Yeay- Damien Lewis? Doctor Who. 8D Better off Ted. Arrested Development is a favorite.

I follow...
The Office - It is incredible fun, with very likeable characters, and very down to earth. I love Jim and Pam, and really got emotionally invested in their relationship. When things finally clicked I just felt happy.
Heroes - I actually stopped seeing this somewhere in 3rd story arch, but I've come back for this latest one. While it still doesn't touch the greatness of the frist, I can't truly let go of the universe and it's characters.
How I Met Your Mother - When I tell others about this, I usually describe it as a more modern version of Friends. The characters are great, and like with the Office, I can't help but a little emotionally invested. When things really go wrong for Ted, I'm a bit sad, and when all's good, I get a smile on my face.
The Big Bang Theory - I love this, and while I don't go as deep into it as I do some otehr shows, I feel right at home, since it's my world they're representing. I'm not a brilliant physicist... In fact, I'm not even a physicist, but I'm a proud nerd, and I feel I can really relate to these characters and their dorkyness.
There's other shows, but these are the ones I follow at current.

TV tends to depress me. I only watch House MD and even that one via the internet to avoid the German dub.

One of the things that's better in The Netherlands: We have subtitles instead of dubs.

This needs to have like 5 or 6 seasons ! I love this show, humor and action spot-on. It's like a dark version of No One Lives Forever.

Pawn Stars is a pretty good show. It seems more entertaining than a show about a bunch of guys running a Pawn Shop should be.
