Babi Ketjap, it's easy to make (though I don't know if all of these Indonesian ingredients are available in the USA) and tastes really good.

Edit: It probably is really easy to get the ingredients, even in the USA

Whatever dad makes. And usually whatever mom makes (I just happen to not like Korean food as much...too bad she hates Indian).

Recently: Lentil soup with kale and spicy sausage. Toss in the right amount of salt, pepper, the right herbs and ,mmm, it's so good.
On special occasions, he'll make bread pudding with bourbon cream sauce for dessert. ; __ ;

Korean food-wise: I love it when mom makes Khak-doo-gi. Which is like kimchii, but with radishes. Yeah- I like 'em fermented. Shii-kae is good as well. It's this sweet rice drink and when you leave the large pot out in the garage during the winter, it's really great.

Onething I have been making recently has been a favorite of mine for a long time - chicken curry. I found a real easy recipe for it several months ago, and now I can have it as often as I like.  I don't even have to have anything else with it, necessarily, I like it just the way it is. YUMMY.
